from RedBoots=LizI was privileged to photograph the Brisbane leg of the Australian Burlesque Festival tour last night. It was seriously a photographer’s dream; incredible lighting, creative costuming and choreography, not to mention the beautiful dancers themselves! The Judith Wright centre was packed out, as usual in Brisbane an enthusiastic and friendly crowd overjoyed to be able to see the best Burlesque performers in the world accompanied by some of our own amazingly talented local artistes. Even with such a high profile event, as usual the intimate feel of Brisbane venues makes any live performance a bit special…I know the bigger capitals do get a lot more when it comes to performing arts, but I really love the atmosphere we get here.
